Beauty Review Bourjois Magic nail polish remover

Bonjour!

Finally my intro fits!! haha Does anyone else love painting their nails but hate removing old polish? Such a pain right? I've read so many blog posts about the Bourjois 1 second nail polish remover and just figured it would be the same as any other. I finally relented and bought myself it, so happy that I did

This has made removing old nail polish so much easier and now it doesn't feel like a chore, in fact I rather enjoy removing nail polish now. You get 75ml of product for £4.99. Instead of this being just a liquid product in a bottle, it's foam which absorbs the nail polish remover and has a hole in the centre.

All you have to do is place your finger in the centre of the foam, twist and your done. I would say it takes about five to ten seconds to remove any nail polish, not one. And I learnt to take off any glitter polish before using this because the glitter coats the foam, and then transfers onto the finger next time. I also love the scent of this, it has a fruity smell unlike all other nail polish removers.

Have you tried this yet?

March reads

Bonjour!

As you may know by now I'm an avid book reader and like most Bookworms I have a ridiculous amount of books yet to be read, and yet I find myself buying more.
I decided maybe it would be a good idea to set myself a book challenge each month, and read three. It was going to be four but I'm a busy bee so may not fit all that much reading in on a daily basis.

Here's what I'll be reading this month

Jennifer Worth - Shadows of the workhouse
Jennifer Worth - In the midst of life (Hopefully, I still need to purchase)
Jennifer Worth - Farewell to the East End

I enjoyed Call the midwife so much that I had to purchase Jennifer's other books. Although I did buy Shadows of the workhouse and Farewell to the East End and forgot the book in the middle, In the midst of life....oooops

What are you currently reading?

March Wishlist

Bonjour!

I am forever writing never ending lists of things I would like to purchase  and the majority of the time I never buy anything from said lists. I am making it my mission to compile a monthly wishlist and stick to it. Oh how hard is it going to be to be forced to shop? :P

Here's March's wishlist

Lush
I haven't bought anything from Lush before so I thought the Easter collection would be the perfect time

Easter Egg hunt Soap £3.40
Fluffy egg bath bomb £2.95
Mumkin bubble bar £2.75

Books
I have a huge Book wishlist and need to get cracking on bringing the number of books on it down, so I can add more to it ;)

Stephen Chbosky's 'The perks of being a wallflower'
Khaled Hosseni's 'The kite runner'

Make up
No wishlist would be complete without a little make up musts

17 Mirror shine lipstick in 'Roserie' £4.79
Sleek Face form palette £9.99
Rimmel wake me up concealer £5.49

Not a huge list of wants but it should keep me going. What's on your wishlist?

Friday Favourites take two

Bonjour!

I actually can't believe how fast Friday has arrived! And it's March!

Just a quick little post of my weekly favourites. I was considering doing this monthly but I think the list would be way too long

MAC matte blush in Desert Rose £17.50. I've been using different blushes all week, but this is the one that I kept pulling out. It's such a pretty rose shade, and matte which I love

MAC Lip conditioner £11.00. OK I admit that this is WAY overpriced for a lip conditioner, but it's amazing. My lips were slightly chapped at the beginning of the week and a day after using this, they were so soft

MUA Undress me too palette £4.00. I've loved using this. As usual with MUA, the shadows are extremely pigmented and smooth. I wanted the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, but I think I'll stick with this. Here's my review

Models Own Purple Blue £5.00. I only bought this on Wednesday and knew as soon as I applied it that it would make it to my favourites. It's  such a unique shade, one minute it's purple, the next it's blue and it has glitter too. I've already removed this and reapplied and the glitter is pretty easy to remove unlike other glitter polishes

Have you tried any of these products? What have you been loving this week/month?

All used up in February

Bonjour!

I see many a post floating about of 'monthly empties' and 'all used up' and think it's a great idea. It gives readers little reviews on products that you both like and dislike, which I always find helpful.
I don't always get through a lot of products because I like to switch everything up that I use. Nevertheless I thought I'd jump on the old bandwagon and share with you all my empties

Make up

No7 Shine free primer £10.50. A Holy grail for me. This helps my foundation last all day and helps my skin stay matte
MAC paint pot in Bare study £14.50. This is probably my favourite eyeshadow base. It's a gorgeous champagne shade, not too shimmery, and helps longevity of eyeshadow's. I find if you store these paint pots upside down they don't dry out
Revlon colorstay £12.49. This has very much become another Holy grail product for me. It's long lasting, lasts all  day and has great coverage

Skincare

Neutogena visibly clear oil free facial wash £4.49. I didn't really like this if I'm honest. It didn't help control my oil and it didn't lather up, which I like as I feel I get a better cleanse that way
Olay complete care enriched night cream £7.99. This did nothing for me if I'm honest. Yes it moisturised  but I found it rather thick which I wasn't overly keen on
No7 Beautiful skin eye make up remover £8.50. Over the years I have tried numerous eye make up removers and not found one that works great. This No7 one works so well and removes waterproof make up with ease

Bath/shower/body/hair

Soap and Glory clean on me £5.50. This is my second bottle of this and I absolutely love it. It smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling extremely soft
Avon naturals juicy watermelon hand and body lotion £1.50. This smells great, is very moisturising, non greasy and inexpensive
Batiste tropical dry shampoo £2.99. This is an absolute must for me. I always carry a small can in my handbag and always have a can or two in my hair drawer. It refreshes hair on those days where you don't have time to wash, or for the day in between washes
Soap and Glory Hand food mini £2.50. I love this hand cream and have already written a review already. This mini is the perfect size to through in your handbag

Thirteen things for 2013

Bonjour!

I know I know, we're at the end of February so this post is coming in very late, but I have set myself the challenge of doing thirteen things in 2013. Thirteen fun things that I haven't done before (maybe I've done one or two already, but there'll be a reason it's made the list)

Here we go

1: Send a message in a bottle/balloon. This has been something I've wanted to do far ages because I think it'll be fun
2: Buy something big/expensive from my wishlist. I'm continuously adding things to my wishlist, and it's just getting bigger by the day. I've decided this is the year to treat myself to something I've wanted for a while
3: Try new things from the menu. Every single time I go out for a meal, I order the same food. If it's Frankie and Bennys I get a burger, Italian I get lasagne etc So I'm forcing myself to experiment with different food
4: Go on holiday. I've been on may holidays, here in England and abroad. However my last holiday abroad was 6 years ago when I went to California. I WILL have a holiday this year, everyone needs some sun!
5: Visit a zoo. I find it quite sad that I'm 27 years of age and never been to a zoo. I've been to theme parks with zoos, but I want to go to an actual zoo
6: Go camping. Yet another thing I haven't done! I've stayed in a wooden wigwam before, but I want to do it properly
7: Go strawberry picking. I want to do this every year and never do. This year I shall make it my mission
8: Go wine tasting. Another thing that I always want to do but never get around to it
9: Go to a city I've never been. Quite often I go away for the night/weekend but it's always places I've been before, so I'm going to try somewhere new
10: Stop buying things I don't need. I always find myself buying odds and ends that I really don't need
11: Have a 24 hour dvd/tv/youtube marathon. I used to stay up until stupid o'clock when I was younger and now
12: Let things go over my head. I'm not really one for letting people get to me, but some people know which buttons to press. So instead of stressing myself out, I'm going to take the high road and ignore the comments
13: Raise money for charity. I always give clothes/books etc to charity and have taken part in the cancer research run before. This year I want to raise more than I have before

Do you have anything or thins that you want to achieve this year?
